How best to use the Japanese Konro Grill Medium:
OTo optimally use the Japanese Konro Grill Medium, it is recommended to use a charcoal chimney when lighting the Binchotan charcoal. First light some standard charcoal in the chimney and then pour it out to light the Binchotan in the chimney. Once the Binchotan is white-hot, move it to the Grill and adjust the air vents to reach the desired temperature.
Due to its density, the Binchotan remains at boiling temperature for several hours and can be extinguished and used again. After use, remove the charcoal from the barbecue, but do not pour water into the barbecue. Alternatively, it can be extinguished in an airtight ceramic or steel pot.
