To get the best out of the Japanese Konro Grill Extra Large, it is recommended to use a charcoal chimney when lighting the Binchotan charcoal. First light some standard charcoal in the chimney and pour it out to ignite the Binchotan in the chimney. Once the Binchotan is white-hot, move it to the grid and adjust the vents to reach the desired temperature.
